Employment.
Employment matters take up most of an employer’s attention and give the least warning. Contracts, terminations, internal regulations, labor inspections and, when it comes to it, defense in court. We work exclusively on the employer’s side, both in the daily management of teams and in the conflict when it arrives.
What we do in this area
We put the company’s employment paperwork in order: employment contracts and their annexes, internal regulations on order, health and safety, prevention protocols and the internal policies the law now requires to be written down and communicated. If the company does not have them, or has them out of date, we prepare them from scratch. When an inspection from the Dirección del Trabajo (the Labor Directorate) arrives, that paperwork is the first thing they look at.
Day to day we answer the questions that come up without warning: how a settlement is calculated, whether grounds for dismissal will hold, what can and cannot be required, how to handle sick leave, a reinstatement or a sensitive termination. Most employment claims are avoided at this stage.
And when the dispute reaches the courts, we take on the employer’s defense in claims for unfair dismissal, void dismissal, infringement of fundamental rights and challenges to administrative fines. We also support reorganization processes and collective terminations, where the groundwork determines the outcome.
Let’s put employment in order before the conflict.
